WOMEN and the Connections they make across time & SPACES
This trip is part of the early research for The Geography of Connection, my next project exploring how women create comfort, belonging, and rhythm in the spaces around them. In Dakar, Goree Island, and small communities from Mekhe to Toubab Dialaw, I’ll be spending time with women in markets, farms, and cooperatives—observing how they move, interact, and express ease or authority in their environments. I’m curious about what happens in those quiet exchanges—how gestures shift around men, outsiders, or children, and how space itself becomes a reflection of culture, work, and care.
Stay tuned for udpates.
